Ready to Heal Trauma, Abandonment, Shame or Deep Emotional Wounds?
Are you tired of feeling insecure, overwhelmed and stuck in old patterns you can’t seem to shift? Deep down, you know it’s more than just stress and overthinking. Old emotional wounds, childhood patterns and unprocessed traumas are still shaping how you think, feel and live your life.
You might have already tried counselling, talk therapy or CBT, and while they may have helped a little, they didn’t get to the root of your issues. That’s because working with a somatic therapist isn’t just about talking or thinking your way through it – it’s about feeling your way through it, gently and safely, through your body.
You’re not broken, and you don’t need to be “fixed.” But you do need the right kind of support to help you go deeper – to feel what’s buried, heal what’s hurting, and rediscover the strength, clarity and wholeness that’s always been there inside you.
This work requires courage, curiosity and compassion. It’s not an easy path to walk alone – having someone to hold the space, meet you exactly where you are, and guide you through can make all the difference. And that’s where I come in.
Hi, I’m Lee Bladon, and as a somatic psychotherapist, I help people to gently release the emotional pain, shame and trauma stored within the body, so you can finally feel safe, whole and at home in yourself.
You can’t think your way out of emotional pain – you have to feel your way through it, gently, safely and with support. That’s the space I hold for you. I’ve walked this path myself – from chronic anxiety and emotional shutdown to genuine inner peace, strength and fulfilment.
As a somatic therapist I help you to feel into your body, because that’s where old emotions are held. I use a range of gentle yet effective therapeutic modalities to identify and heal the underlying root cause – not just manage the symptoms.
This isn’t a quick fix – it’s deep therapeutic work that goes far beyond symptom management. It involves creating a safe, compassionate space for the parts of you that feel scared, hurt or neglected, and helping them to feel safe, seen, heard and healed.
Emotional Healing Starts Here
You’ve done your best to hold it all together, but underneath the coping lies the weight of shame, anxiety and old wounds that are longing to be seen, accepted and healed.
You don’t need to keep pushing it down. You don’t need to “fix” yourself. You simply need the right support to help you gently unpack, process, and release what’s ready to be healed.
Working with a somatic therapist creates space inside you for safety, healing, freedom and growth. Deep emotional healing can help you to rediscover your self-worth, resilience and inner strength – allowing you to face life’s ups and downs with greater confidence, calrity and stability. It can help you to return to yout natural state of ease, wholeness and authentic self-expression.

My Unique Approach
Your emotional healing journey is unique, and so is my approach to somatic psychotherapy. I use a proven blend of highly effective modalities to work with your body, nervous system and psyche to transform your inner world:
Somatic Inquiry: Working with the body is the foundation for self-discovery – it’s where emotions are stored, patterns are held, and deep healing happens.
InCorr Method: A gentle yet effective, body-centred therapeutic approach that helps to identify, unpack and heal emotional issues at the root cause level.
Nervous System Regulation: Helping your system to shift out of chronic stress and survival patterns, and building the safety and capacity needed for deep healing.
Inner Child Healing: Connecting with and nurturing your inner child to heal early emotional wounds and restore inner safety and trust.
Parts Work (IFS): Understanding and reintegrating the different “parts” of your psyche to dissolve inner conflict, resistance and reactivity.
Embodied Presence: A shared field of grounded, attuned awareness that creates the right conditions for inquiry, healing and lasting inner transformation.
Somatic Therapy Sessions
Each session is a safe, embodied space for deep inner work. You don’t have to carry it alone any more.
- 60-minute one-to-one sessions via Zoom or in person in Grantham, Lincolnshire.
- Private, confidential, heart-led and trauma-informed.
- Somatic inquiry to explore what your system is ready to reveal and release.
- Safe and supportive healing at your own pace.
- Every session is tailored to where you are in that moment – there’s no fixed agenda, just a responsive, attuned process that follows what’s alive in your body and experience.
I work with clients all over the UK and beyond via Zoom. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person ones – being in the comfort of your own home often makes it easier to relax, drop in and go deeper. Many clients actually prefer it.

Testimonials
What is somatic psychotherapy?
Somatic psychotherapy involves feeling into and releasing what the body is holding onto. Unresolved emotions often show up as tension, stress, anxiety, depression, emotional sensitivity or chronic disease. By gently meeting these feelings, the body can complete what was once too overwhelming to process, allowing stuck energies and emotions to move through or dissolve. This restores a natural sense of safety, balance and presence, which opens the way for deeper wellbeing.
How is somatic therapy different to other therapies?
Most of the negative beliefs, deficient feelings and unhealthy behaviours you think you need to work on, aren’t the real problem at all. They are secondary problems – symptoms of a deeper core wound. Most coaches and therapists will focus to trying to solve these secondary issues, and while that may bring some temporary relief, it fails to identify or address the underlying core issue. Take burnout for instance… A coach or therapist may teach us some stress reduction techniques and help us to improve our work-life balance. We may experience some temporary relief from that, but the underlying drive to achieve and succeed will still be there pushing us on. A somatic therapist, like me, will take a different and deeper approach. When we feel into what lies beneath the subconscious drive to succeed, we’ll always find a deficient feeling linked to a core belief, such as “I’m not good enough” or “I’m worthless”. When we heal that underlying core deficiency, the relentless drive to succeed will soften to normal levels, and burnout ceases to be a problem (without ever working on that directly).
Can a somatic therapist help with trauma?
Yes. A somatic therapist works with trauma in a gentle, non-invasive way that respects your feelings, your pace, and your body’s natural capacity to heal. Rather than forcing you to relive painful memories, we initially focus on creating safety in your nervous system. Then we will gradually deepen into the feelings, at a pace that’s determined by your nervous system. This allows stuck survival energy and old emotions to gradually release. The trauma healing process helps you to gradually feel safer, more grounded and resilient.
Am I ready for deep emotional healing?
Do I need to relive my painful memories?
During inner work, the focus is always on your present-moment experience, and your emotional safety and capacity are paramount. However, the inquiry and healing process will eventually take you back to the origin of your core wounding because that’s the part of you that needs to be healed. But by the time we reach this point, you’ll have more than enough capacity to handle it. Think about it… If you experienced a distressing event when you were 6 years old, it’s your 6-year-old inner child who’s afraid of re-experiencing it, not your adult-self. So, gently accessing your core wound from your embodied adult-self is safe, tolerable and deeply healing.
Is it true that time heals?
No, not really. Time “heals” the mind because the mind forgets, but it doesn’t heal the heart. Unresolved emotional wounds remain until they are consciously felt, processed and released. True healing comes from embodied awareness and inner work, not just the passing of time.
How long does emotional healing take?
Decades of emotional pain, deficient feelings and supressing behaviours can’t be undone in a few sessions. Good progress can be made in a few months, but it can take a year or two. Generally, the more “stuff” you have to work through, the longer it will take, and the less safe you’ll feel about “going there”. In which case we’ll probably need to spend some time developing your emotional sensitivity (mind-body connection) and your emotional capacity (tolerance) before we go anywhere deep. You can do some of this prep work yourself by practicing the exercises in my free Guide on How to Prepare Your Nervous System for Healing and Awakening.
