Integrative Therapy for Healing, Growth & Awakening

You’ve probably noticed that life puts us in the same situations again and again, until we learn to see and do things differently. And we can’t do that until we heal, grow and awaken. This is the foundation of integrative therapy – supporting deep personal transformation rather than surface-level change.

Unlike conventional therapeutic approaches that focus on a single aspect of experience, integrative therapy works with the whole person – body, heart, mind and soul. The integrative approach recognises that emotional wounds, psychological patterns and a sense of deeper disconnection are all interconnected – and our body’s “felt sense” can access them all.

Our “felt sense” has two aspects, the physical senses that we are all familiar with, and our lesser-known somatic senses, which can perceive energies, emotions, feelings and intuitive insights. This is why somatic psychotherapy and transpersonal therapy are so much more effective than conventional therapies like CBT, EMDR, NLP, hypnotherapy and talk therapy, which ignore all the vital information that’s stored within the body somatically.

Deep somatic inquiry helps us to identify, unpack and heal our psychological material, then reintegrate it back into the wholeness of our being. It’s a life-changing journey that gradually frees us from the limiting beliefs, stuck emotions and conditioned patterns that have shaped our lives. Integrative therapy leads to greater clarity, freedom and wholeness – allowing us to live with more peace, purpose and authenticity.

This work requires courage, curiosity and compassion – but you don’t have to do it alone. As your integrative therapist, I provide the guidance, support and presence that makes this journey not just possible, but genuinely transformative.

My unique integrative approach can help you to:

  • HEAL the wounds and patterns that are holding you back.
  • GROW: Develop greater awareness, capacity and resilience.
  • AWAKEN: Reconnect with and embody your authentic self.
  • THRIVE: Live with clarity, purpose, and genuine freedom.

The more you release what’s weighing you down, the more you naturally rise. The more you heal psychologically, the more you embody your true spiritual nature – peace, clarity, wisdom and authentic freedom.

The rewards of investing in yourself are enormous and eternal, because no other investment will benefit you now and forever.

I offer three integrative therapies, each designed to meet you exactly where you are:

Somatic Therapy

For body-based emotional healing and trauma release

Somatic psychotherapy recognises that trauma and emotional wounds aren’t just stored in your mind, they’re also stored in your body. Talk therapy alone can’t access this deeper material, so we need to work somatically, using our felt sense. Using a gentle, body-centred approach, we help your nervous system to release what it’s been holding onto. As old emotions and traumas gradually dissolve, you’ll experience greater ease, capacity and resilience. This isn’t just nervous system regulation or symptom management, it’s healing at the root cause level.

Anxiety Therapy

For resolving anxiety at its source, not just managing symptoms

If you’ve tried managing your anxiety with coping techniques but still feel controlled by it, you’re not alone. Most approaches teach you to live with anxiety, but I can help you resolve it. My anxiety therapy works with the root cause, the subconscious patterns, beliefs and emotions that generate anxiety in the first place. By understanding your unique anxiety pattern and addressing what’s underneath, you can move from constant tension to genuine calm and freedom.

Transpersonal / Spiritual Life Coaching

For those seeking meaning, purpose and awakening

Spiritual life coaching is for you if you’re feeling called to something deeper but don’t know how to access it. Perhaps you’re already on the spiritual path but feel lost or stuck. I can help you to explore your relationship with consciousness itself, working to dissolve ego-identifications, reconnect with your authentic essence, and align with your soul’s deeper calling. It’s less about fixing problems, and more about awakening to who you truly are.

Presence & Attunement

One of the things that makes this work unusually effective is the quality of presence I bring to each session. Over many years of practice I’ve developed a strong empathic sensitivity – an ability to tune into what’s happening within a client emotionally, energetically and somatically, often before it’s been put into words.

This depth of attunement means I can track what’s alive in your system moment to moment, sense what needs to be met, and guide the process with a precision that goes well beyond what questioning and reflection alone can achieve. At a deeper level this attunement has a nondual quality – when two people meet in genuine presence, something opens up that makes the healing process more fluid and alive.

For clients drawn to the spiritual dimension of this work, that shared field of presence can itself become a doorway into something deeper. It creates the conditions for healing that is not just faster and more lasting, but genuinely transformative.

Working Online & In-Person

I’m based in Grantham, Lincolnshire, but the majority of my work is done online via Zoom – which means I can support clients all over the UK and beyond.

Online sessions are just as effective as in-person ones. Being in the comfort of your own home often makes it easier to relax, drop in and go deeper – without the stress or time of travelling – and most clients actually prefer it.

No special preparation is needed for a Zoom session – just a comfortable chair and your device of choice. Simply click the Zoom link in your booking confirmation email to join at the scheduled time.

You don’t have to download any software but it is better if you do so: Download Zoom. And if you want to check that your camera and sound are working before we start, you can try a quick automated Test Call.

What is integrative therapy?

Integrative therapy addresses the whole person, body, heart, mind and soul, instead of just trying to treat symptoms in isolation. Inner work is the heart of all of my integrative therapy: a gentle yet profound process of healing wounded, deficient or conditioned parts of the psyche and reintegrating them into the wholeness of our being. By feeling into and resolving old emotional wounds, core beliefs and stuck energies, integrative therapy liberates your natural essence, calms the nervous system and awakens you to the peace, presence and authenticity that are your true nature.

How can integrative therapy help me?

Integrative therapy is especially supportive if you feel anxious, stuck, lost, unfulfilled, overwhelmed, low in confidence or simply know there is “more” to life. It works on every level, physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual, to help you release what’s holding you back and reconnect you with your true nature and innate wholeness. Clients consistently report greater clarity, emotional freedom, inner peace, authentic purpose and a deeper sense of wellbeing that continues long into the future. In short, integrative therapy doesn’t just improve your life now; it transforms the rest of your life.

What happens in a session?

Each session is unique because each client is unique, with a different level of consciousness, different levels of wounding, fear, sensitivity, capacity and resilience, and different goals. I’ll meet you exactly where you are in each moment, so you’ll get exactly what your system needs. Some sessions may focus on emotional regulation, some on coaching, some on healing, and some on self-discovery and awakening. But generally speaking we’ll begin by sitting and talking, while sensing down into our bodies. We may close our eyes as we deepen into your somatic or emotional experience. I will be right there with you, energetically speaking, because my empathic connection and nondual awareness allow me to sense what’s going on in your body, heart, mind and soul.

How is integrative therapy different from holistic therapy?

The terms overlap, both work with the whole person rather than isolated symptoms. In practice, “holistic therapy” often refers to complementary and body-based treatments such as massage, reflexology or energy work, whereas my work is psychotherapeutic. Integrative therapy combines somatic, depth-psychological and transpersonal approaches to heal the root causes of emotional difficulties, creating change that’s genuinely lasting rather than just relaxing or temporary.

Will integrative therapy work for me?

If you approach this work with apprehension, scepticism, huge expectation, or desperation, your system will be contracted and closed, so your chances of feeling or healing anything significant are slim. Integrative therapy is most effective when: (1) you’re relaxed, undefended, open-minded and open-hearted; (2) you drop any agenda and get out of your own way; (3) your only motivation is a love of self-discovery and the truth; (4) you’re willing to feel deeply into your body and your emotions; (5) you’re dedicated and committed for the long term; (6) you take responsibility for your own healing and engage with the process; (7) you don’t just rely on our sessions for your growth, but maintain conscious awareness and presence as you live your daily life.

How many sessions are required?

It depends on your starting point (where you are now) and what you want to achieve (where you want to get too). It’s not possible to under a lifetime of wounding and dysfunction in just a few sessions, but good progress can be made in a few months. Deep inner work takes time and the results can be transformational, but please don’t embark on it if you are looking for a quick fix. If you’re thinking about when your inner journey is going to end, before you’ve even embarked on it, you’re probably not ready for it.

How to prepare for healing and awakening?

The more prepared you and your nervous system are, the faster and easier your journey of healing and awakening will feel. So, before you begin, I highly recommend spending a few weeks cultivating your somatic awareness (improving your mind-body connection) and developing your capacity to tolerate uncomfortable feelings. Working somatically allows us to access psychological material that your conscious mind isn’t yet aware of. The body gives us to access the wounds, and the mind allows us to understand the body’s wisdom. This is why a good mind-body connection is a prerequisite for effective inner work.
